I draw and paint portraits of ladies with an attitude. I am inspired by women from different cultures all over the world. Some of them I was lucky to meet and know personally, others are just women that I came across in pictures. My art is a reflection and an expression of my own attitude towards these women. Their life situation is what I feel and how I find myself in there. Saying that it makes me paint a portrait of a woman reflecting my own attitude towards it.
I unconsciously seek women with strong character and reliable energy, who are reflecting raw emotions and showing genuine and natural personality. We can’t run away from those daily emotions we face. I have a need to capture and to express those feelings in front of the entire world through my portraits. I want to show the world how strong humans are, in my art those are mostly women. All of my portraits represent quirky and unique ladies; some are just caught up in the daily responsibilities of life – because that’s how life is. Some women may look petite and fragile but in reality, they have really strong spirits.
My work speaks language of the country I live in. My home at this moment is India. Living here makes me spin around in many directions. From laughter to frustration.
Living in such a colorful country as India you definitely develop something. I developed an absolute love towards lively, pop and bold colors. As well a stronger and depicting will for women empowerment.
I sign my artwork as PILE.
