Each of us is unique. There is no one else in the world, quite like us. We are the only ones who can do the extraordinary things we do. And what we do is unique. We may not win outstanding awards or public acclaim for our deeds, but we make the world a better place because of them.
My deed to myself and you are following my passion, which I can share with you. Sharing Scarves for life are art and design of my memories & observations I’ve transferred on textiles.
I developed this project purely to share the message of confidence and empowerment to women around the world. The inspiration for these long scarves (240cm x105cm) came from living in India and seeing women’s garments here and how they embellish them. Most women in India wear some type of cover as part of their cultural history to demonstrate modesty and show respect to their long cultural history. This same acknowledgement can apply to numerous cultures in many different parts of the world.
Learning that wearing scarves had a purpose of hiding femininity throughout history triggered an intense reaction in me; I didn’t want women not to be seen by society. The female presence in society in the world even today continues to be undervalued. We’re still not always seen as equal partners. Therefore, I aim to remind women worldwide of their strength and knowledge. I hope to inspire them to accept being seen as a person who can achieve anything. Every woman has that power within herself - the ability to speak and stand up for herself, not to be afraid to live, not to be scared to put her ideas out in the world, and not to be afraid to fail and get up again. Taking these ideas and transforming them into a physical product for women to wear as a source of pride and self-confidence was the catalyst for me to develop these scarves.
They are digital prints of my original paintings on a cotton voile natural fabric. Each scarf carries a meaningful story to empower the woman who decides to wear it. It also works for those who want to be covered as well as women who don’t want to be covered but want to wear a statement piece. I believe in modesty, but only on each woman’s own terms.
My purpose with these scarves is that they serve as a reminder of the strength one has within, and I wish to expand this message to the female population worldwide.
They are all about memories life brings to us to evoke emotions. They are a request for you and me to empower ourselves – as a human to people we know and as a role model to someone we don’t know we are.
I've developed four different scarves with four different stories. Take your self on a journey - you might want to build the connection with one of them.
Dig deep for your pleasure and embrace the coziness of it. It's only one of you. Remember! Life research is formalized curiosity. It is poking and prying with a purpose.
I wonder what happened to you now when you left our close circle of friendship . When I wear this scarf it feels like hugging you and it reminds me of you and of that wonderful energy you and I chose once ago to share.
Girl, We must always set the bar high, otherwise we do not progress. I am here to preach that if you raise your standards the universe will meet you there.
Take laps in life, take big strokes and you'll be there where you want to be.When your done wrap yourself in coziness of the fluffy scarf and dance. Be one with it and love as it will love you back.
