Invisible Ride: Embracing the Unknown

Now that we are done with the first month of the year, I embrace the unknown with open arms, ready to take on whatever lies ahead. A new year always feels like an invisible ride—filled with uncertainty yet brimming with possibility. That’s why I thought it was the perfect moment to share my latest painting with you: Invisible Ride.

This piece is a deeply personal portrayal of a woman whose quiet yet undeniable strength is evident. She has faced challenges, but she refuses to let them define her. Instead, she channels those experiences into growth, resilience, and forward momentum. She is not just a passenger in life—she is the one steering her course.

The saddle in the painting is marked Champion Heeler. In rodeo terms, a heeler is the one who skillfully catches and grounds chaos. It symbolizes how she navigates life with precision and determination, never losing her grip even when things seem to spin out of control. What’s most striking is the absence of a horse. She doesn’t rely on what’s expected or traditional—she forges her own path and drives herself forward, powered by her own resilience.

A small yet powerful detail in this painting is 1981, a personal marker. It is a quiet but bold declaration of identity and journey, reminding us that every step we take is built on the foundation of where we’ve been. Her outfit—a blend of textured blue sleeves and bold green pants—reflects a modern, unapologetic individuality. She exists seamlessly within her surroundings yet stands out, much like those who carve their own way in the world.

Then, there’s the yellow circle on her face—a subtle but significant mark. It represents unity and inner strength, a quiet force that binds her story together. And behind her, the red graphic radiates energy and passion. It’s fiery and commanding, much like her presence. Even in a minimalist setting, she dominates the space, much like those individuals who walk into a room and captivate without uttering a word.

To me, Invisible Ride embodies the spirit of women we all know—the ones who endure quietly yet burn with an inner fire. They move forward with grace, resilience, and power, even when the world may not fully see it. They are the ones who don’t need the traditional reins of life to find their way; they create their own paths, embracing the unknown with courage and determination.

As we begin this year, let’s celebrate the invisible rides we all take—the journeys that may not always be seen but are deeply felt. May we all find the strength to move forward, to trust in the unknown, and to ride boldly into the future.

Ciao, Ana
