“I am an artist driven by an innate need to express raw emotions, mainly inspired by the determination of women to pursue their dreams or goals; call them however you want”

  • Ana Sneeringer

Well, Ana, I suppose since I have watched you over the years from the beginning to this day. I must let you know what I think of your tabletop art book. When you first brought the idea up, you were so excited, and I, along with you, waited for it to come about. And waited and waited. You didn’t talk to me much about your progress, but I am patient. And then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, the book came about. Of course, I instantly ordered one, not knowing what I was getting.  And I was not disappointed because what you put together is phenomenally wonderful. I’ve always enjoyed looking at tabletop books. Art books are boring in the long run. One picture after another. That did not happen with the way you formatted your presentation. I can truly say that this is probably the most dynamic art book. Now, all I have to say is to keep up the excellent work. This isn’t because you’re my daughter-in-law. It’s because you are a hell of a good artist and creator.

READERS THOUGHTS:

Ana - The book is incredible. It was beyond my expectations, which were already high, and you inspire me. I’m so inspired by just everything that you do, and I love your book so much for so many reasons. I love your sense of design. I love the black-and-white images. I love all the close-ups. I love the captions. There’s so much more writing in it than I pictured. I love the stories about your work. I love the detailed features of particular paintings. I love the behind-the-scenes with your sketches and even showing pieces and progress. I think that is the most fantastic thing. I can’t even tell you; I think it’s so so so good. I am proud of you, and I love the book. You should be so proud of yourself.
Congratulations.

I recently read your book after one of my clients told me about your work, and I absolutely love it! Your gorgeous, vibrant pieces are now living rent-free in my imagination. I appreciate your sensitive renditions of archetypes of the modern woman. Thanks again for sharing your brilliant work and inspiring many of us in the process.

I was initially drawn to Ana’s artwork because of her use of bright, saturated colours, contrasted with black and white figures and faces - a favourite practice of mine, as well. However, as I began to explore her Instagram page, I recognized something in her work that resonated more deeply, and I started having flashes of memories from different times of great transition in my life. I was curious about this, and had to know more, so I purchased a copy of her book, “I Read My Own Future”.

While the book most certainly holds a brilliant display of Ana’s paintings, it also describes - with great wisdom and profundity - Ana’s inner world, her life journeys, and her artistic process. One sentence, in particular, struck me: “I have painted other women’s voices through myself, and I have been painting my voice through other women.” Ana has a wonderful gift of channeling the human experience through her art, and I felt a strong connection with her expressions. I would strongly encourage you to experience her art for yourself.
