MAKING DECISION

Not even a week ago, I had been traveling around the exceptional United States Of America. Wow! I can't even explain how extraordinary this trip was. I won't bore you with the trip, but I need to let you know our route so you can understand where all my inspiration comes from.

We flew from Alabama to Washington State and then took a drive from there through coastal Oregon, California (Redwoods, Yosemite, coastal route), Nevada, Utah (Moab), Arizona (passed by Grand Canyon, stopped in Canyon De Chelly, Tucson (stop at the Seguro National Park), New Mexico (Carlsbad Caverns), drove through Texas to LA, New Orleans, did a quick pass by Mississippi and then back home to Alabama.

This was such a needed vacation. Mainly because it opened my eyes to the endless opportunities and realizations that life, which we choose to live, is the right one for the given moment. But if I had to choose my new home, it would be Arizona.

Last year I painted a smaller collection of works titled Making Decision that is now available through my website. Making Decision collection features women sitting on the floor or steps, exuding a sense of calm and comfort, not being deterred by the challenges around them. I tried to capture the essence of perseverance and determination while they are put on the path to making decisions in life.

While on this trip I mentioned above there; I noticed how my decision-making had been manifesting from the paintings I made for that collection. How we can paint/write (or call it whatever) our future blows my mind.
