ARTIST STATEMENT

In my work, I focus on three core themes: Female empowerment and contemporary identity, Cultural diversity and personal narrative, and Emotional resonance through color and form. 

Using a combination of bold brushwork and intuitive color choices, I create portraits that speak to the modern female experience. Each work celebrates individuality and strength, inviting viewers to connect with their own stories of empowerment.

Drawing from my Slovenian heritage and global experiences, where I have lived in 8 different countries since 2010, each portrait I create tells a unique story of resilience and transformation. My figures emerge from saturated-color layers, embodying vulnerability and strength. As a contemporary female portrait artist based in Alabama, I create vibrant, emotionally charged paintings celebrating women's strength and diversity. My work explores the intersection of identity, empowerment, and cultural narrative through bold brushstrokes and dynamic compositions.
